Ang Puso Ko'y Nagpupuri
Fr. Eduardo P. Hontiveros, SJ

ngayon at magpakailanman.

Ang puso ko'y nagpupuri, nagpupuri sa Panginoon
Nagagalak ang aking espiritu sa 'king Tagapagligtas.

Psalmody

PSALMODY

Ant. 1 Blessed are they who dwell in your house, O Lord.

Psalm 84
Longing for God’s Temple

How lovely is your dwelling place, *
Lord, God of hosts.

My soul is longing and yearning, *
is yearning for the courts of the Lord.
My heart and my soul ring out their joy *
to God, the living God.

The sparrow herself finds a home *
and the swallow a nest for her brood;
she lays her young by your altars, *
Lord of hosts, my king and my God.

They are happy, who dwell in your house, *
for ever singing your praise.
They are happy, whose strength is in you, *
in whose hearts are the roads to Zion.

As they go through the Bitter Valley
they make it a place of springs, *
the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
They walk with ever growing strength, *
they will see the God of gods in Zion.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer, *
give ear, O God of Jacob.
Turn your eyes, O God, our shield, *
look on the face of your anointed.

One day within your courts *
is better than a thousand elsewhere.
The threshold of the house of God *
I prefer to the dwellings of the wicked.

For the Lord God is a rampart, a shield; *
he will give us his favor and glory.
The Lord will not refuse any good *
to those who walk without blame.

Lord, God of hosts, *
happy the man who trusts in you!

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.

Psalm Prayer

Bless your people, Lord. You have given us the law that we may walk from strength to strength and raise our minds to you from this valley of tears. May we receive the gifts you have gained for us.

Ant. Blessed are they who dwell in your house, O Lord.

Ant. 2 Come, let us climb the mountain of the Lord.

Canticle: Isaiah 2:2-5
The mountain of the Lord’s dwelling towers above every mountain

In days to come, *
the mountain of the Lord’s house
shall be established as the highest mountain *
and raised above the hills.

All nations shall stream toward it; *
many peoples shall come and say:
“Come, let us climb the Lord’s mountain, *
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may instruct us in his ways, *
and we may walk in his paths.”

For from Zion shall go forth instruction, *
and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

He shall judge between the nations, *
and impose terms on many peoples.
They shall beat their swords into plowshares *
and their spears into pruning hooks;
one nation shall not raise the sword against another, *
nor shall they train for war again.

O house of Jacob, come, *
let us walk in the light of the Lord!

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.

Ant. Come, let us climb the mountain of the Lord.

Ant. 3 Sing to the Lord and bless his name.

Psalm 96
The Lord, king and judge of the world

O sing a new song to the Lord,
sing to the Lord, all the earth. *
O sing to the Lord, bless his name.

Proclaim his help day by day,
tell among the nations his glory *
and his wonders among all the peoples.

The Lord is great and worthy of praise,
to be feared above all gods; *
the gods of the heathens are naught.

It was the Lord who made the heavens,
his are majesty and state and power *
and splendor in his holy place.

Give the Lord, you families of peoples,
give the Lord glory and power, *
give the Lord the glory of his name.

Bring an offering and enter his courts,
worship the Lord in his temple. *
O earth, tremble before him.

Proclaim to the nations: “God is king.”
The world he made firm in its place; *
he will judge the peoples in fairness.

Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad, *
let the sea and all within it thunder praise,
let the land and all it bears rejoice, *
all the trees of the wood shout for joy

at the presence of the Lord for he comes, *
he comes to rule the earth.
With justice he will rule the world, *
he will judge the peoples with his truth.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.

Psalm Prayer

Lord, you have renewed the face of the earth. Your Church throughout the world sings you a new song, announcing your wonders to all. Through a virgin, you have brought forth a new birth in our world; through your miracles, a new power; through your suffering, a new patience; in your resurrection, a new hope, and in your ascension, new majesty.

Ant. Sing to the Lord and bless his name.

1st Reading

Heb 9:15, 24-28

A reading from the Letter to the Hebrews

Christ is mediator of a new covenant:
since a death has taken place
for deliverance from transgressions under the first covenant,
those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.

For Christ did not enter into a sanctuary made by hands,
a copy of the true one, but heaven itself,
that he might now appear before God on our behalf.
Not that he might offer himself repeatedly,
as the high priest enters each year into the sanctuary
   with blood that is not his own;
if that were so, he would have had to suffer repeatedly
from the foundation of the world.
But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages
to take away sin by his sacrifice.
Just as it is appointed that human beings die once,
and after this the judgment, so also Christ,
offered once to take away the sins of many,
will appear a second time, not to take away sin
but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await him.

The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm

℟. (1a) Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.

Sing to the LORD a new song,
   for he has done wondrous deeds;
His right hand has won victory for him,
   his holy arm.

℟. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.

The LORD has made his salvation known:
in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice.
He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness
   toward the house of Israel.

℟. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.

All the ends of the earth have seen
   the salvation by our God.
Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands;
   break into song; sing praise.

℟. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.

Sing praise to the LORD with the harp,
with the harp and melodious song.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
sing joyfully before the King, the LORD.

℟. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.

Alleluia, Alleluia.

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death
and brought life to light through the Gospel.

Alleluia, Alleluia.

Gospel

Mk 3:22-30

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark

The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said of Jesus,
“He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and
“By the prince of demons he drives out demons.”

Summoning them, he began to speak to them in parables,
“How can Satan drive out Satan?
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
And if a house is divided against itself,
that house will not be able to stand.
And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided,
   he cannot stand;
that is the end of him.
But no one can enter a strong man’s house to plunder his property
unless he first ties up the strong man.
Then he can plunder his house.
Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies
that people utter will be forgiven them.
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit
   will never have forgiveness,
but is guilty of an everlasting sin.”
For they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

At the end of the Gospel, the Deacon, or the Priest, acclaims:

The Gospel of the Lord.

All reply:

Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Then he kisses the book, saying quietly:

Through the words of the Gospel
may our sins be wiped away.

The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Hail Mary, Gentle Woman
Carey Landry

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among
women, and blest is the fruit
of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Gentle woman,
quiet light, morning star,
so strong and bright,
gentle Mother,
peaceful dove,
teach us wisdom;
teach us love.

You were chosen by the Father; you were chosen for the Son.
You were chosen from
all women and for woman, shining one.

Gentle woman,
quiet light, morning star,
so strong and bright,
gentle Mother,
peaceful dove,
teach us wisdom;
teach us love.

Blessed are you among
women, blest in turn
all women, too.
Blessed they with
peaceful spirits.
Blessed they with
gentle hearts.

Gentle woman,
quiet light, morning star,
so strong and bright,
gentle Mother,
peaceful dove,
teach us wisdom;
teach us love.

Salve Regina

Salve, Regina,
Mater misericordiæ:
Vita, dulcedo,
et spes nostra, salve.
Ad te clamamus,
exsules, filii Hevæ,
Ad te suspiramus,
gementes et flentes
in hac lacrimarum valle.
Eia, ergo, advocata nostra,
illos tuos misericordes oculos
ad nos converte.
Et Jesum, benedictum
fructum ventris tui,
nobis post hoc exsilium
ostende. O clemens, O pia,
O dulcis Virgo Maria.

Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genitrix.
Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi.

Oremus.
Omnipotens sempiterne Deus,
qui gloriosae Virginis Matris Mariae corpus et animam,
ut dignum Filii tui habitaculum effici mereretur,
Spiritu Sancto cooperante, praeparasti,
da, ut cuius commemoratione laetamur;
eius pia intercessione,
ab instantibus malis et a morte perpetua liberemur.
Per eundem Christum Dominum nostrum.
Amen.

Gospel Canticle

Ant. Blessed be the Lord our God.

Canticle of Zechariah
Luke 1:68-79
The Messiah and his forerunner

Blessed + be the Lord, the God of Israel; *
he has come to his people and set them free.

He has raised up for us a mighty savior, *
born of the house of his servant David.

Through his holy prophets he promised of old
that he would save us from our enemies, *
from the hands of all who hate us.

He promised to show mercy to our fathers *
and to remember his holy covenant.

This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham: *
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
free to worship him without fear, *
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.

You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High; *
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,
to give his people knowledge of salvation *
by the forgiveness of their sins.

In the tender compassion of our God *
the dawn from on high shall break upon us,
to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, *
and to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.

Ant. Blessed be the Lord our God.

Awit sa Ina ng Santo Rosario
(short)
Carlo Magno S. Marcelo

Minsan ang buhay
ay isang awit ng galak
at mayroong liwanag na
tatanglaw sa ating pagyapak.

At kahit anong tindi ng unos,
at kahit anong tindi ng dilim
may isang inang nagmamatyag,
nagmamahal sa 'tin.

O Inang mahal, narito kami
awit-awit ang “Ave Maria!”
at dalangin ng bawat
pamilya'y kapayapaa't pagkakaisa.
Ang rosaryo mong
hawak namin at
awit-awit ang “Ave Maria!”
Puspos ka ng diwang banal,
dinggin ang aming payak na dasal:
‘‘Ihatid mo kami sa langit
ng Amang Mapagmahal.’’
