O Come All Ye Faithful

O come all ye faithful
joyful and triumphant,
o come ye, o come ye
to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
born the King of angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him
Christ, the Lord.

Sing choirs of angels,
sing in exultation,
sing all ye citizens
of Heaven above;
glory to God in the Highest;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him
Christ, the Lord.

Adeste fideles laeti triumphantes;
venite, venite in Bethlehem.
Natum videte, regem angelorum.
Venite adoremus,
venite adoremus,
venite adoremus Dominum.

1st Reading

Is 9:1-6

A reading from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah

The people who walked in darkness
   have seen a great light;
upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom
   a light has shone.
You have brought them abundant joy
   and great rejoicing,
as they rejoice before you as at the harvest,
as people make merry when dividing spoils.
For the yoke that burdened them,
   the pole on their shoulder,
and the rod of their taskmaster
you have smashed, as on the day of Midian.
For every boot that tramped in battle,
   every cloak rolled in blood,
will be burned as fuel for flames.
For a child is born to us, a son is given us;
   upon his shoulder dominion rests.
They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero,
   Father-Forever, Prince of Peace.
His dominion is vast
   and forever peaceful,
from David’s throne, and over his kingdom,
   which he confirms and sustains
by judgment and justice,
   both now and forever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this!

The word of the Lord.

The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm

℟. (Lk 2:11) Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord

Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all you lands.
Sing to the LORD; bless his name.

℟. Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord.

Announce his salvation, day after day.
   Tell his glory among the nations;
among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.

℟. Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord.

Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice;
   let the sea and what fills it resound;
let the plains be joyful and all that is in them!
Then shall all the trees of the forest exult.

℟. Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord.

They shall exult before the LORD, for he comes;
for he comes to rule the earth.
He shall rule the world with justice
and the peoples with his constancy.

℟. Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord.

2nd Reading

Ti 2:11-14

A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to Titus

Beloved:
The grace of God has appeared, saving all
and training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires
and to live temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age,
as we await the blessed hope,
the appearance of the glory of our great God
   and savior Jesus Christ,
who gave himself for us to deliver us from all lawlessness
and to cleanse for himself a people as his own,
eager to do what is good.

The word of the Lord.

The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.

Alleluia, Alleluia.

I proclaim to you good news of great joy:
today a Savior is born for us,
Christ the Lord.

Alleluia, Alleluia.

Gospel

Lk 2:1-14

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke

In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus
that the whole world should be enrolled.
This was the first enrollment,
when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
So all went to be enrolled, each to his own town.
And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth
to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem,
because he was of the house and family of David,
to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
While they were there,
the time came for her to have her child,
and she gave birth to her firstborn son.
She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn.

Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields
and keeping the night watch over their flock.
The angel of the Lord appeared to them
and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were struck with great fear.
The angel said to them,
   “Do not be afraid;
for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy
that will be for all the people.
For today in the city of David
a savior has been born for you who is Christ and Lord.
And this will be a sign for you:
you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes
   and lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel,
   praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

At the end of the Gospel, the Deacon, or the Priest, acclaims:

The Gospel of the Lord.

All reply:

Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Then he kisses the book, saying quietly:

Through the words of the Gospel
may our sins be wiped away.

The Creed is said. All kneel at the words and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate.

The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Nicene Creed

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.

God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of
the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right
hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the
Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son
is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in One, Holy,
Catholic and Apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism
for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to
the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.

Amen.

Silent Night
Franz Gurber

Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
‘Round yon virgin mother
and child,
Holy infant so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace,
sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night! Holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven
a far.
Heavenly host sing Alleluia!
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born!

Silent night! Holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from
Thy holy face,
with the dawn of
redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.

When We Eat This Bread
Mass of Spirit and Grace
R. Manalo, CSP

When we eat this Bread and
drink this Cup, we proclaim
your Death, O Lord,
until you come again,
until you come again.

The First Noel

The first noel, the angels
did say was to certain
poor shepherds in fields
as they lay;
in fields where they lay
keeping their sheep
on a cold winter’s night
that was so deep.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel.

They looked up and
saw a star shining in the
east beyond them far,
and to the earth,
it gave great light
and so it continued
both day and night.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel.

And by the light of that
same star, three wise men
came from country far;
to seek for a king was their
intent, and to follow the star
wherever it went.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel.

This star drew nigh to the
northwest, o’er Bethlehem
it took its rest, and there it did
both stop and stay, right over
the place where Jesus lay.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel.

Then entered in those
wise men three, full rev’rently
upon the knee and offered
there in his presence,
their gold and myrrh,
and frankincense.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel.

Then let us all with one
accord sing praises to our
heavenly Lord; who with the
Father we adore and Spirit
blest for ever more.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel!
Born is the King of Israel.

O Holy Night
Words: J.S Dwight Music: A.C. Adam

O Holy night the stars
are brightly shining.
It is the night of our dear
Savior’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin
and error pining.
Till He appeared and the
soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary
world rejoices, for yonder
breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees,
O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night
when Christ was born!
O night divine! O night,
O night divine!

Led by the light of faith
serenely beaming,
with glowing hearts by His
cradle we stand; so led by
light of star so sweetly gleaming,
here came the wise men
from the Orient land.
To see the King Who made
earth’s lowliest choices,
Yea chose His throne
a manger all forlorn.

Fall on your knees,
O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night
when Christ was born!
O night divine! O night,
O night divine!

A Light Has Shone
Dan Schutte, SJ

Rejoice, Rejoice!
Let all the world rejoice,
today upon the earth
a light has shone.
A child is born the
promise of our God,
the Savior Christ the Lord.

O sing to the Lord a new song,
sing to the Lord
and bless God’s name,
Announce to the world the
goodness of the Lord,
proclaim it in every land.

Rejoice, Rejoice!
Let all the world rejoice,
today upon the earth
a light has shone.
A child is born the
promise of our God,
the Savior Christ the Lord.

Let heaven be glad
and earth rejoice, you waves
of the sea lift up your voice,
You meadows and hills,
the forests and the fields,
now tremble before the Lord.

Rejoice, Rejoice!
Let all the world rejoice,
today upon the earth
a light has shone.
A child is born the
promise of our God,
the Savior Christ the Lord.

Exult and be glad for God
has come, to reign in our
hearts with steadfast love,
The Lord rules the earth,
with righteousness and truth,
with justice and peace for all.

Rejoice, Rejoice!
Let all the world rejoice,
today upon the earth
a light has shone.
A child is born the
promise of our God,
the Savior Christ the Lord.

Joy to the World

Joy to the world!
the Lord has come:
let earth receive her King.
Let ev’ry heart
prepare him room,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and heaven
and nature sing!

Joy to the Earth!
The Savior reigns;
let men their songs employ,
while fields and floods, rocks,
hills and plains repeat
the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
repeat, repeat the sounding joy!

He rules the world
with truth and grace, and
makes the nations prove
the glories of His righteousness
and wonders of His love
and wonders of His love
and wonders, and wonders of His love.

Ang Pasko ay Sumapit
V.D. Rubi, M. Vesti

Ang Pasko ay sumapit,
tayo ay mangagsiawit.
ng magagandang himig
dahil sa ang Diyos ay pag-ibig
Nang si Kristo'y isilang
may tatlong haring
nagsidalaw at ang bawa't
isa ay nagsipaghandog
ng tanging alay.

Bagong Taon ay
magbagong-buhay
nang lumigaya ang ating bayan
Tayo'y magsikap upang
makamtan natin ang
kasaganaan.

Tayo'y mangagsiawit habang
ang mundo'y tahimik
Ang araw ay sumapit ng
sanggol na dulot ng langit
Tayo ay magmahalan ating
sundin ang gintong aral
at magbuhat ngayon
kahit hindi Pasko
ay magbigayan.
